Me and Jeremy at Coors Field before the game
(From mom): Sorry folks, internet troubles last night, and a VERY late night at that! Here's Jacob's entry from yesterday:
What a DAY!! I woke up too early but couldn’t go back to sleep cause of what was going to happen. I was excited and nervous all at the same time. We went downstairs to get breakfast and then got ready for the game. Then we left for COORS FIELD. We get to Coors Field and we meet the pr manager of the Colorado Rockies Jim Kellogg. He was so nice. He took us to our seats (OMGosh!!!) they were awesome. I have never sat that close to the field before but I’ll tell you about that later. So then Jim takes me down to the dugout (where the manager was giving an interview). Then I saw the clubhouse tunnel. We went up a million stairs just to get to the clubhouse door. So when we finally got there Jim opened the door and we went into the locker room. Jim went to go find Jeremy so I could meet up with him and I met some of the players. They just started coming up and saying hi to me and introducing themselves. Then Jeremy came over and we went and sat down to catch up with each other. Jeremy said it’s time for chapel, so we went to church with the other team guys. It was GREAT! I wish that pastor was ours! He was funny and down to earth and calm. After chapel, Jeremy introduced me to a couple other players. He showed me the spa room and then he showed me the video room. Then we went back into the locker room. Jeremy put his warm ups on and we went onto the field. When I went out of the clubhouse to the dugout to the field it was amazing! It was like a feeling I’ll never forget. The wide open stadium is like nothing I can compare anything to. It was flat and green and nice! And there were thousands of seats. Jeremy went and warmed up and I got to stand with him while he warmed up even though I almost got hit in the head with the ball a couple of times!! He took me to the bullpen next and showed me the forest there where the raccoon lived. They don’t think he’s there anymore, but now they have some ducks with baby ducklings living in the pond in the bullpen. He also showed me the phone that the manager uses to call people to warm up in the bullpen. Then we walked around the field. I GOT TO STAND ON THE PITCHERS MOUND!!!!! Jeremy took my picture there. It was awesome!! I felt like a real MLB pitcher!! We went to the batters box. It was huge and Jeremy told me that its sometimes harder to be a hitter than a pitcher (he’s a pitcher). He went over and talked to my mom and dad and then we went back into the clubhouse. Jeremy said hey theres a bat over there! We went and picked it up and it turns out it was a Matt Holliday signed bat for me! He signed it just for me!! I got all excited and was checking it out when I see Matt Holliday come back into the locker room and Jeremy took my picture with him! He’s so nice. When we were done talking me and Jeremy went back to ours seats in the clubhouse and then Jeremy got the ball from practice and took it around and made everyone sign it. When we were getting ready to leave he takes me to the locker room door and right when we were 3 feet from the door, it opens. Some player comes up to me and says hi what’s your name? And I said Jacob, and he says hi I’m TODD HELTON!!!!! So we talked and he said here why don’t you have these ….. And he gives me HIS BATTING GLOVES!!!!! Holy cow! Todd Helton’s batting gloves! Then in the game he hit his 300th homerun and made the record books at the game I was at!!! We also had a rain delay with real thunder and lightning. The Rockies won the game 13-0!!! It was a shutout. It was great!! After the game, we went down to the clubhouse to meet up with Jeremy. We talked for a while then he gave us all a ride in his truck. All these people were asking for Jeremy’s autograph when we were leaving it was really weird. He smiled and waved but couldn’t stop because there were too many people. It was cool riding with someone famous! I know there’s a lot more to my day but I’m tired and can’t think of it all right now. It’s been lightning and thundering a lot today so now I’m watching it from my balcony. I went swimming FINALLY and the pool was awesome. My mom took pictures. It had NO DISEASE!!! Tomorrow we’re going to Missouri. It shouldn’t be too long of a drive. I will write more tomorrow about my trip through Wyoming. I wanted to move there yesterday but now today I want to move to Colorado so I can be near Jeremy and the Rockies!!

Holy moly what a day!!!! That is incredible. My Jacob (who loves baseball too) said that is about the coolest day EVER.
I am glad the pool was not sick! Swimming is the best!
Get lots of rest! Have safe travelings tomorrow!
Wow, I don't know that much about the Rockies, but these guys sound terrific. So, I want to know--did Marissa and you get free hot dogs? :)
And the lightning sounds cool. I miss that, but I bet your mom was a little scared, huh?
When it starts getting hot, just think about how cool it is here. It rained today, and it was about 68 degrees.
Have fun in Missouri.
Your posts are awesome so far. I am enjoying all the details. It is just like I was there. I am happy for your that you are getting the experience of a lifetime. It is cool they got the pool all cleaned out so you could go swimming. I can not wait to hear about Missouri.
